¿Quién es el autor?
- 阿爾弗雷德・金賽 (Alfred C. Kinsey, 1894–1956)，美國生物學家，原本是研究癭蜂的昆蟲學家，任教於印第安納大學
- 1938 年，他負責大學裡一門關於婚姻的課程，發現學生對性的疑問很多，可靠的科學資料卻極少，於是開始大規模訪談研究人類的性行為
- 他在 1947 年創立性研究機構，也就是今天的「金賽研究所」；2004 年，他的故事被拍成電影《金賽性學教室》，由連恩・尼遜主演
- 本書英文原名 Sexual Behavior in the Human Female，1953 年出版，與波默羅伊、馬丁及保羅・葛布哈德共同完成，中文版書名《金賽性學報告：女性篇》
