- 本書 1976 年出版，立刻成為暢銷書，據估計全球銷量高達數千萬冊；之後又出版了男性篇（1981）與《女人與愛》（1987）
- 因長期遭受媒體攻擊與威脅，她移居歐洲，1995 年放棄美國國籍成為德國公民，晚年定居倫敦
- 繁體中文版書名《海蒂性學報告：女人篇》；網路聲量：豆瓣 8.2 分（約 1,400 人評分）、Goodreads 3.88 分
