Who is the author?
- 艾克哈特・托勒 (Eckhart Tolle)，1948 年生於德國，十三歲後隨父親住在西班牙，之後在英國倫敦大學求學，並到劍橋大學攻讀研究所
- 他說自己直到二十九歲前，長期受焦慮與憂鬱所苦。某天夜裡，他腦中反覆冒出一句話：「我再也受不了我自己了。」接著他突然想：那個「我」和那個受不了的「自己」，到底是一個還是兩個？那一夜之後，他經歷了深刻的內在轉變，之後有兩年時間大多坐在公園長椅上，處在平靜喜悅之中
- 本書 1997 年先由加拿大小出版社出版，1999 年由美國新世界圖書重新出版，2000 年歐普拉在雜誌上推薦後成為《紐約時報》暢銷書；截至 2025 年全球銷量約一千六百萬冊，譯成三十多種語言
- 評價兩極：許多讀者把它當成靈性入門經典，《時代》雜誌的評論則批評它充滿玄虛的說法、缺乏具體建議。中文版書名《當下的力量》
