Who is the author?
- 查爾斯・哈尼爾 (Charles F. Haanel, 1866–1949)，生於美國密西根州安娜堡，在聖路易斯一家公司工作了十五年後自行創業，曾擔任多家公司的總裁，包括一家墨西哥金銀礦業公司
- 1912 年，四十六歲的他以函授課程的形式發表代表作 The Master Key System：學員每週收到一課，共 24 週，每課最後都附有練習；1917 年集結成書出版。到 1933 年，本書全球已銷售超過二十萬冊
- 本書被視為現代成功學與吸引力法則的源頭之一。《思考致富》作者拿破崙・希爾 1919 年曾寫信給哈尼爾，表示自己的成就大多來自書中的原則；2007 年的暢銷書《祕密》也引用了哈尼爾的話
- 中文版書名《世界上最神奇的24堂課》，有多個譯本；部分版本以「被查禁的書」「啟發比爾・蓋茲」作為宣傳，這些說法缺乏可靠來源。最新譯本為洪亞嫻譯的經典新譯版
