Who is the author?
- 李小龍 (Bruce Lee，1940–1973)，華人武術家與電影明星，創立截拳道
- 1970 年因背部重傷長期臥床，在休養期間大量閱讀武術、哲學與心理學著作，寫下本書的大部分筆記
- 本書在他過世兩年後的 1975 年出版，由遺孀琳達・李與編輯吉爾伯特・強森等人整理；繁體中文版由香港商務印書館出版
