Who is the author?
- 史蒂芬・茨威格 (Stefan Zweig, 1881–1942)，奧地利作家，生於維也納的富裕猶太家庭，是二十世紀上半葉全世界被翻譯最多的作家之一
- 他擅長中短篇小說與人物傳記，以細膩的心理描寫聞名，深受佛洛伊德思想影響
- 納粹上台後，他的書被焚毀，他被迫流亡英國、美國，最後到了巴西；1942 年，他與妻子在巴西彼得羅波利斯自殺
- 本書德文原名 Vierundzwanzig Stunden aus dem Leben einer Frau，1927 年出版；中文版書名《一個女人一生中的24小時》
